Emily, an Arizona native, started her healthcare career over 15 years ago. She began her career at John C. Lincoln where she worked while she obtained her RN degree. After working on many mass casualty incident preparation drills and research projects in the emergency room, she became interested in furthering her education and went on to earn her Master’s Degree as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through Grand Canyon University. While in school, she was injured in an ATV accident which sparked her interest in interventional pain management. Upon graduation, she began as a provider of Pain Management in order to offer patients the same care and treatment that helped her during her recovering.
While not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Emily is currently attending Grand Canyon University in pursuit of her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree.
Melissa has been in the nursing field for over 15 years, and her training includes inpatient cardiac care, ER nurse, and Master’s prepared Clinical Educator. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in the Science of Nursing at Arizona State University in 2010, while going on to complete her Family Nurse Practitioner education at Grand Canyon University in 2013. Melissa is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Melissa grew up in Mesa. She enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband Tim & son James.
Mary has had a lengthy and accomplished career as a Registered Nurse Practitioner. Having graduated as an RN in 1993, she spent time as an Acute Care Registered Nurse for Maricopa Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospitals. In fact, a substantial amount of her career was concentrated in Neuro-Surgery as a Neuro-Surgery ICU Registered Nurse and in Neuro-Surgery Endovascular Special Procedures. She also managed a research department for Maricopa Surgeons LTD which was dedicated to Burn/Trauma and General Surgery. Even after this experience, Mary’s drive for education led her to receive an Advanced Nursing Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and she graduated from University of Phoenix year 2006 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing Science. And we sure are lucky to have her bring her education and training to Integrated Pain Consultants today.
One particular area of interest to Mary is the ability to improve or restore a quality of life again for her patients. The ultimate accomplishment is when she learns, through the adoption of minimally invasive pain management strategies, the patients can again live full professional and personal lives thanks to the assistance she provided and the work the patient devoted to getting better. Helping others reclaim their lives is what brings Mary her own sense of purpose and accomplishment.
“There is a true sense of humility when a patient can view their future positively. Working in pain management has been a humbling experience that I embrace.”
When not working, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, road cycling, physical fitness, spin classes, hiking and scuba diving. She also enjoys speaking Spanish and finds this is greatly appreciated by her Latin patients.
Jacqueline’s career began when she graduated with a BS in Nursing from Purdue University and received her Master’s degree from Ball State University. Jacqueline is driven by health and the pursuit of wellness and strives to create a partnership with her patients as they go through their journey and understand they do not have to live in pain and compromise their own wellness.
As an advocate for her patients, Jacqueline employs minimally invasive techniques to identify and correct the source of the pain, educates patients on treatments, and builds a plan that restores a high quality, high functioning life. And as a certified personal trainer, Jacqueline very much understands one must treat the pain and discomfort first so that they don’t have to limit their activities due to that very pain. “This is why I truly enjoy doing what I do.”
