Geneva Smith, NP


Geneva has been a nurse since 1986 and obtained her associate degree in
nursing from Newman University in Wichita Kansas and her Bachelors
degree from Graceland University in Lamoni Iowa. She is a board certified
nurse practitioner who graduated from the University of Texas Medical
Branch in 2003 with a Masters of Science in Nursing. She has done
interventional pain medicine for 14 years helping patients with medication
management, scheduling procedures and performing other minimally
invasive injections. She believes that helping people with their pain through
interventional therapies as well as medication management allows her
patients to be able to resume a functional capacity that allows them to live
a life that is both physically and emotionally fulfilling .She worked for 22
years as a critical care cardiology nurse and nurse practitioner in the
intermediate coronary care 48 bed telemetry unit and ICU . She also enjoys
spending time with her husband and swimming and hiking.
